VanBasco Karaoke Player is a lightweight karaoke MIDI karaoke program. It has built-in support for MIDI files (.mid, .midi and .rmi) and karaoke lyrics files (.kar), allowing users to play the most popular computer karaoke formats, although there are some fairly widely used karaoke and audio file formats not supported by this software.
Interface customisation is easy, with most aspects of the karaoke window fully customisable, such as the background image and colour, the font type and size, and the text position. There are also a variety of lyric display options, such as displaying hints, or showing song information when no lyrics are available.
VanBasco Karaoke Player also has functionality closer to a media player than a karaoke program in some respects, with shuffle and repeat buttons. There is also a playlist window, allowing you to cue up a large number of karaoke songs with ease. The program is also positively miserly with resources, so if listening to karaoke tracks is your thing, you could leave it running in the background without much trouble.
